The Cat's Meow
Okay, those who know me know that I am secretly cat obsessed despite violent allergies and an aversion to poop scooping. When a seamstress friend of mine, Natasha from Sheepshead Bay, offered her little persian boy to me for adoption, I couldn't resist. My roommate and I have talked about getting a cat forever, and now that all of my dolls have moved to a studio, it seemed like the right time. We kept his original name, Byelka. Unfortunately he only speaks Russian.
And then with cats on the brain and the urge to do another fur doll, I suddenly realized that the obvious answer would be to create a cat doll, loosely based off Grizabella the Glamour Cat from CATS. I would make an avant guard music video of "Memory" - something very non Andrew Lloyd Webber. Probably set in a graveyard instead of a garbage dump.
